Shooting Portraits with Zhongyi Mitakon 25mm F0.95

This will be my final installment of images shot with the Zhongyi Mitakon 25mm F0.95.  If you've not read it, this is my initial findings of this lens from an earlier blog posting.

Shooting portraits with the Zhongyi lens was much easier than expected.  With focus peaking, manual focusing was not difficult at all, just a little slower.  The in focus rate was very similar to what I experienced with the Sigmas 85mm F1.4/Conon EOS 6D combination.  When you nail focus, the sharpness is very good.  The images I got was inline with my expectation.  After my shoot, I still think it is an available light lens rather than a lens I would use for photo shoot.  Although it is more than capable of being used as one.  This lens has now replaced my Panasonic 20mm F1.7 as the lens that is always mounted on my camera.

Picture speaks louder than words, so here are some images I shot with this lens with my Olympus OM-D EM10.  All images were shot at F0.95.

Roxana - Shooting More Natural Light

Shot around the old Greenwich Naval College.  That is the beauty of shooting natural light, there is no lighting equipment to set up and move around.  It was very easy to move between locations and avoid too much attention from security guards.
